Bathroom Remodeling

Eagle Bathroom

This master bath was new when the owners moved in, but after a few years they decided it wasn’t doing the job. They were not fond of the design, especially the tile floor. And when one of them was recovering from a surgical procedure, they realized how safe and convenient a zero-threshold shower would be.

We started with those two priorities when discussing design options, and settled on a partial makeover.

A few decisions helped stay within the clients’ budget: Sticking with the original vanity, choosing a remnant for the new quartz countertop and, and eliminating the need for lighting fixtures by installing medicine cabinets with built-in lighting. We made no changes to the overall layout, which also helped control costs.

Our crew removed the old fiberglass shower and installed a new shower with a frameless glass splash panel — an option that eases entry in and out. The rippled tile adds visual interest and texture to the space, with hex tiles on the floor adding some contrast.

And that tile floor they disliked so much? We removed it in favor of sleek slate-gray tile that instantly freshened things up.
